Here at Cedar Creek, we love children - and we have lots of them! Children are a significant part of our congregation and our community. The Children’s Ministry of Cedar Creek Church seeks to provide environments where kids can have an authentic interaction with Jesus Christ, and come alongside parents to shepherd their children.
Early Childhood Programs
Our nursery is open to children 3 and younger during each Sunday morning service for the duration of worship.
Pre-School through Fifth Grade Sunday School Programs
Children belong in our church - they deserve authentic relationships with family members and mentors who can help feel connected to God's family. Children can be led to believe the Good News - their hearts and minds are ready to develop a meaningful friendship with Jesus. Children can become like Christ - they are capable of reaching out to others in love, in faith, and with hope. Each week teachers and assistants walk with children, teaching core values through our Gospel Project curriculum.
School-Year Sunday School
Beginning the second weekend of September (the weekend following Labor Day), our school-year Sunday school program runs most Sundays through the second weekend of June for children in preschool through the fifth grade. Children are dismissed following the Prayer of Confession and are led by their class helpers to their classrooms while the adults remain in service. Sunday School is closed occasionally for special services, and on the fourth Sunday of every month, children 1st grade and older are invited to remain in worship with their families so that they can participate in Communion. Children's messages are scheduled for these Sundays to help engage children in the morning's sermon. Nursery and Toddler classes happen every Sunday.
Summer Sunday School
The preschool through fifth grade Sunday school classes change the weekend after Father's Day through Labor Day weekend to two larger Summer classes, Preschool-1st grade and 2nd grade-5th grade.
Throughout the year, our Children’s Ministry Team offers gatherings for parents to encourage and offer practical tools for sharing faith with their children. We also have events for the whole family at Christmas (Christmas Crafts) and Easter (Egg-coloring and Egg hunt) with a potluck lunch and fun for visitors as well as members!
