“When you are in tribulation, and all these things come upon you in the latter days, you will return to the Lord your God and obey his voice.”
- Deuteronomy 4:30 ESV

Voices - Who Will You Listen To? - Part 2
The soft voice claiming hope. The gentle whisper bringing peace. I promise you, you won’t understand it. It’s surreal, supernatural.

In all the turmoil it comes and it saves. The voices don’t stop. They don’t quiet. Yet they do change. The words and the orders simply turn to noise. And that one soft voice conquers the others, bringing with it a new concept -- truth.

Recently, when the voices rage on, when I cry out for them to quiet even for a moment, when the need for escape becomes unbearable and all hope is gone, the Truth of God comes and defeats it all.

The voices haven’t gone away, not for me at least. But they have begun to lose their power. The become empty promises, stupid lies. They become white noise and meaningless words. And rising above comes Truth. The words that do not fail. The words that do not lie. They are full of peace, hope, safety, understanding, encouragement, and relief.

Never forget that you do have a choice. The Scriptures are just as alive as the demons, they all fight for your attention and your trust. Don’t let the voices have the last word in your life. The Truth has power over the voices.
