Lent FLOW Mar. 12

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
- John 10:10 NIV

I remember working a job where one of my co-workers complained about everything. He would ask me if I agreed with what he was saying. I wasn't close to God at this time and found myself falling for the trap and complaining right along with him. My attitude had changed. The joy was not there. I was always looking for the next thing or person to complain and gossip about.

Looking back, I can see where the devil came in to steal my joy. Once I surrendered my life to Jesus, the way I thought and acted was different. I now can recognize when I am under attack from the enemy. I now look to compliment people instead of complain about them. Jesus gave me wisdom and a renewed mind. I now have life and have it to the fullest. We must stay close to God and be in relationship with him.

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:10-12

Prayer: Dear heavenly Father, give us the strength to stay on guard from the enemy. Let us be strong and courageous for you, Lord. We pray this in Jesus' name, Amen.
